OUR STORY

Nichol Ridge Outfitters officially made its debut in January 2022, but it started much earlier. Don and Evelyn Schwandt created D&E Outfitters in 2004 after Don retired from the military. AJ Nichols started guiding for Don in 2009. AJ quickly became a valued business partner and worked closely with Don. AJ had spent much of his life hunting, fishing and loving the outdoors prior to working for Don. The opportunity to work for a guide service quickly changed AJ's thoughts on where his career path would lead him. Prior to AJ taking over the business, he was a full time firefighter/paramedic. Which is how he met his wife Abby. Abby is a nurse and now, business partner to AJ. They have three beautiful children who also love the outdoors.

In January of 2022, AJ took over the guide service, now known at Nichol Ridge Outfitters. We are a family run operation that plans to continue to build a reputation of quality hunts, friendly service, and excellent customer satisfaction. Join us for your next hunting season!
